Balvatika Admission 2024
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has started a section of Balvatika classes (designed for children aged 5 and above) in 450 identified KVs starting from the Academic Session of 2023-24. This initiative presents a valuable opportunity for parents aspiring to enroll their children in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan right from the Pre-Primary level. At Balvatika, students will benefit from a comprehensive play-way school environment, pioneered by KVS to deliver pre-primary education within India’s esteemed educational framework.
KVS Balvatika Admission Important Dates
The Admission Schedule for Balvatika Classes during Session 2024-25 will be as under:-

Important Notes –
1- List of children registered, list of eligible children, category-wise list of provisionally selected children, waiting list and subsequent lists to be compulsorily displayed on the website of the Kendriya Vidyalayas concerned, in addition to display on School’s Notice Board.
2.If any of the dates happens to be a public holiday the next working day shall be treated as opening/closing dates.
Eligible Age for KVS Balvatika Admission 2024-25
KVS has decided that a student who has completed the 5 years of age on 31 March 2024 can be eligible for admission in Balvatika. A Child must be 5 years old for Class I as on 31st March in the academic year in which admission is sought (Child born on 1st April should also be considered.)
The prescribed age criteria is given below:

Necessary Documents–
For the admission in class BALVATIKA, the following documents are necessary –

Important Instructions –
- Only registration will not confer a right to admission in KVS.
- Incomplete application forms shall normally be rejected.
- Admission secured on the basis of any wrong certificate shall be cancelled by the Principal.
- For admission to class Balvatika the registrations will be done through online mode.
- Reservation under the provisions of RTE Act-2009 shall be applicable for Balvatika.
- Provision for admission for Single Girl Child Category shall not be applicable to Balvatika .
- Admission to Balvatika class will be done as per the priority and reservations given in the KVS Admission Guidelines 2024-25.
- Registration link, schedule for draw of lots and other details will be issued separately.

Priorities in Admission
Admission priorities for Kendriya Vidyalayas are outlined as follows:
(A) KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS UNDER CIVIL/DEFENCE SECTOR:
- Children of both Transferable and Non-transferable Central Government Employees, as well as children of Ex-servicemen.
- Children of both transferable and non-transferable employees working in Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings/Institutes of Higher Learning under the Government of India.
- Children of both transferable and non-transferable State Government employees.
- Children of both transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings/Institutes of Higher Learning under the State Governments.
- Children from any other category not included in the above categories 1 to 4. Note: Priority in admission will be determined by the number of transfers of the parents within the last 7 years.
(B) KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS UNDER PROJECT SECTOR/INSTITUTES OF HIGHER LEARNING:
- Children of employees working in the Project Sector/Institutes of Higher Learning that sponsor the Vidyalaya. This includes Faculty, Post Graduate students engaged in long-term research projects, regular Council of Wardens (COW) employees, and children of retired employees, including those on deputation to the concerned Project/IHL. Priority is also given to directly hired contractual employees by the concerned Project/IHL. (Contractual staff hired through agencies, outsourcing, or third parties do not receive priority in admission.) Note: Preference is given to serving employees, deputation employees, retired employees, and directly hired contractual employees by the Project/IHL, in that order.
- Children of both transferable and non-transferable Central Government Employees, as well as children of Ex-servicemen.
- Children of both transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings/Institutes of Higher Learning under the Government of India.
- Children of both transferable and non-transferable State Government Employees.
- Children of both transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings/Institutes of Higher Learning under the State Governments.
- Children from any other category, encompassing those not included in categories 1 to 5 listed above.
Note: Priority in admission for wards will be granted based on the number of transfers of the parents within the last 7 years.
